Humility

I have never thought about humility being a HUGE part of being profoundly productive. I really like this statement and have not thought about this blog for a while until a friend mentioned it again :) THANKS FRIEND! Last night we had a BBQ and had a person here who repeated stated "ya know, I have a servant's heart" and the first time the person said it I thought "hmm" then about 10 times later (okay I could be exaggerating here) I thought "servant's hearts don't boast, it must be humble." This morning I have been thinking about that because all of the "servantude" that was displayed was totally discredited to me due to the verbal display. Reminded me of the Pharisee's praying out loud in the street in all their self-righteousness. I don't want that I want to be able to serve humbly and with meekness which is hard and since you know me I have to work very diligently to be meek :)  I want to serve an audience of One..............
But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word.
Is 66:2.

foster care

Isn't it interesting that when you begin to do what God has asked you to do you, you begin to be tested, annoyed, tempted, attacked and over all irritated? Oh yah, let's not forget scared............ I am so nervous that this is not what we are suppose to do but I know it is since we have been planning on doing this for TEN years now! Steadfast love......................we are writing a story!

wow

Just read on a prayer request about a young man (17) who was killed and left in a suitcase under a child's swimming pool in a vacant lot. If that isn't sad enough, the two 13 year old boys called a bunch of their friends to come and see it before they called the police............ my heart is broken on so many levels due to this event that I am not even sure how to respond. Have we  really become so................so................. I don't even know what word to use. I am just appauled at the thought of this.........my prayers are for his family.

thoughts

What is meant to be profoundly productive? I want to live life to its fullest for God's glory. We were created to honor and glorify Him and only Him. He has a plan for us and we won't know what it is without spending time in His word and prayer so we can figure out what He has planned for our lives. I don't want to run around like a chicken with its head cut off doing things for others and loose what He specifically has in store for me and my family.
Children. That is what I think his plan is for me. James 1:27.........................Religion that is pure and undeflied before God, the father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their afflictions, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
